Our Beloved Raven

Our beloved Raven passed away unexpectedly from cancer at the end of September 2005. A wonderful and unique companion, she was blessed with a loving temperament along with her remarkable spirit. She is forever imprinted on our hearts and will always be part of our fondest and happiest memories.

Our beloved Raven, may you forever play in peace.

Adorable! We had one too, she looked a lot like this one. She lived to 11 and we miss her terribly. Her tail wasn't the problem-- it was her tongue, constantly 'kissing' people, lol!

Mine is 12..and he once got "limber tail". It is an actual ailment...from wagging it too much. He couldn't lift it for a week.

Hi Carolyn

This is our second pound puppy. Our first lab was a yellow lab, but she was at the high end of the spectrum, more of a fox color. We helped her survive distemper as a pup. She lived to 12. We lost her due to an aggressive form of throat cancer. My husband and I were at her side holding her when she died. Like you, we still miss her a great deal.

Hi Wanting

Well, along those lines, we did have some friends dog-sit for us when she was younger. The only problem that they had is that she greeted everyone at the back gate. Her tail, of course, never stopped wagging and she bloodied it against their block wall. Apparently, getting her tail to heal was pretty much impossible. She now has a callous, which formed at the tip of her tail from that incident long ago.

Our beacle/chow/lab looks very much like Carolyn's friend above -- and forunaely has a cruled feather duster tail from her chow ancestors.

She is a 9-year old pound puppy who looked at my wife and then peed on my shirt to mark her territory.

Gotta love our four-legged kids.

So, Rhymes With Right, your pound puppy ended up marking you as HER territory, did she? And exactly how old was she when you brought her home that she managed to mark your shirt?

BTW, the PetFinder feature on your site caught my eye and, imitation being the highest form of flattery, I have placed that same feature on mine as well.

Thanks for the visit!

Yes, they do live on in our hearts forever. Just like Lessa, Rema and even dopey Jet.

Jet was not dopey. Jet was cunning and vindictive. Tut was dopey!

And, let's not forget your fuzzy Slippers! :)
